Teacher
Benefits
The San Mateo
County Branch publishes a monthly newsletter and the membership meets regularly
from September through June. Meetings feature guest lecturers, demonstrations
and performances, as well as providing an excellent opportunity for music
teachers to exchange musical and pedagogical ideas.
The MTAC has a web site to promote our members. When you join
the organization you will be listed on our web site if you wish. We also provide a listing in the yellow pages
with a teacher referral service.
The branch also owns and maintains two Yamaha Grand pianos (Yamaha C7 and G1).
The C7 is in the recital hall which is available for member bookings.
What are the qualifications for membership?
To qualify for MTAC membership, a music teacher must have earned a degree in
music from an accredited institution, or must have qualifications or experience
equivalent to a music degree.
Music teachers
interested in joining the MTAC-San Mateo County branch should call the
Membership Secretary, Laurie Johnson at 650-593-4559.
