Recital Hall Reservation Policy

  • Recitals are only available for members in good standing who have signed a Recital Hall Rental Agreement.
  • If your recital request shows up on the Recital Hall Reservation Calendar, then your recital has been pre-approved.
  • A requested and pre-approved recital time slot is only held if the teacher mails in a signed contract and payment check for the rental within 7 days after the pre-approval; otherwise the time slot will become available.

A. To reserve the recital hall between 9/1/2010 – 12/31/2010:

For Active Members: Reservations open Wednesday, July 7th, 2010.

For Contributory Members: Reservations open Wednesday, July  14th, 2010.

B. Reservations and Changes:

Reservations must be completed by the 15th of the prior month. (For example: August 15th is the last day to request  September 2010 recital hall time slots). You must email or call me by the 15th in order for me to make any  changes. This includes canceling your event, switching to a different time, or requesting a microphone or tables for  your  event. No exceptions.

C. October 2010 Reservations:

I will be out of the office during the month of September. Please complete and submit all October reservations by August 29th, 2010.

D. Maximum number of chairs allowed in the Wind Room – 100 chairs

E.  Fixed Seating Arrangement:

Pianos and chairs facing Shell Blvd in a semi-circle. Members are not permitted to change the hall’s seating arrangement set up for the day’s event. No exceptions.

F.  Requests for dates not marked with "MTAC" (non-MTAC dates):

"MTAC dates" are dates that are labeled as "MTAC" on our web calendar. These dates are pre-reserved for MTAC members. "Non-MTAC dates" are Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday  afternoons and evenings that are not marked "MTAC" on our Recital Hall Reservation Calendar. If the  "MTAC" reserved dates are filled around your desired  recital      day, you have an option of requesting non-MTAC dates. There is a minimum booking of  three  hours. This  can be done through the regular booking process. The Friday evening and Sunday afternoon times have the highest  chance of being available for us. Please see the hall reservation instructions for details. Yvonne Ho Massey will contact  the City for special permission for the additional  non-MTAC dates.

G.  Incorrect booking:

If you make a mistake and want to request another date or time, please contact Yvonne Ho Massey so that she can delete the incorrect request.
